 Underdogs Have Their Day: 
   
 Thursday was wall-to-wall college basketball, including many do-or-die games as teams fought for their March Mania lives. And at day’s end, the advantage clearly went to the underdogs. 
   
 The puppies went 27-19-1 against the spread (ATS) in the 47 games contested, including 14 outright victories. That’s a 58.7 percent spread-covering clip. And in the Big East, perhaps the toughest conference in the nation, the ‘dogs really had their day at Madison   Square   Garden .
